How It Works
Buying or leasing a vehicle is one of the most significant purchases you'll make. At Anchorpoint, the process is designed to be clear, collaborative, and entirely on your terms. Here's exactly what to expect from the moment you reach out to the moment you drive away.
Step 1: Book and Prepare
Every engagement starts with a no-obligation 15-minute consultation. When you book, you'll be directed to a short intake form that takes 5 to 10 minutes to complete. This helps us arrive at the call already knowing your situation, so we can spend the time on what matters.
The form covers your vehicle preferences, budget, timeline, financing situation, trade-in, and any eligibility for manufacturer or membership discount programs. By the time we talk, we already have a complete picture of what you need and what you may be entitled to that most buyers never know exists.
On the call we'll discuss where you are in the process, what matters most to you, any concerns shaping how you feel about buying, and which package makes the most sense for your situation. There is no commitment required and no pressure to proceed. If Anchorpoint is the right fit, we'll move forward together. If not, you'll leave the call with more clarity than you had going in.
Step 2: Research and Strategy
Once you decide to proceed, you'll receive a service agreement to review and sign, followed by an invoice for your selected package. Work begins as soon as payment is confirmed.
This is where the work happens, and it's work you don't have to do yourself. Depending on your package, research includes:
Identifying vehicles that best match your needs, lifestyle, and budget
Comparing reliability data, ownership costs, and resale value
Establishing fair market pricing benchmarks so you know what a good deal looks like
Reviewing current manufacturer incentives, lease rates, and financing offers
Identifying discount programs you qualify for that could reduce the purchase price
Building a negotiation strategy tailored to your situation and target vehicle
For the Research Package, this work is delivered as a written summary report that you can take into your shopping process with confidence. For the Negotiation and Full Concierge packages, this research forms the foundation of the active support that follows.
Step 3: Active Support and Guidance
This step looks different depending on your package, but the goal is the same: you never feel like you're navigating the process alone.
Negotiation Package: We provide ongoing guidance as you engage with dealerships. Before you make or respond to any offer, we review it with you. We'll tell you what the numbers mean, whether the price is fair, and what to say next. You go into every conversation prepared, not pressured.
Full Concierge Package: We come with you. From the initial dealership visit and test drive through to the final negotiation and paperwork review, you have an independent expert physically present at every step. We ask the questions you might not know to ask, flag anything that doesn't look right, and make sure you fully understand what you're agreeing to before you sign anything.
Step 4: Final Review and Close
Before any deal is done, we make sure everything checks out.
This includes:
Reviewing the final offer and purchase agreement for accuracy
Confirming that all agreed pricing, incentives, and discount programs are reflected correctly
Flagging any fees, add-ons, or terms that weren't part of the original conversation
Making sure you understand every line before you sign
Most buyers skip this step because they feel pressure to close quickly. We don't. Your signature is the most important moment in the process, and you should feel completely confident before it happens.
Step 5: Drive Away With Confidence
When it's done, it's really done. No second-guessing. No wondering if you left money on the table. No buyer's remorse.
You chose the right vehicle, paid a fair price, and had an independent expert in your corner from the first conversation to the final signature. That's the Anchorpoint experience.
